-bietet eine Unmenge an Fotomotiven. 

-dazu ist es groß und sehr heiß

- die LKW's sind ein wenig größer als in Deutschland 

- Kamele? Wer ahnt, dass über 1 Millionen dieser Tiere frei umher laufen. Als die Eisenbahn das Kamel als Transportmittel ablöste (ca 1930), ließ man die Tiere frei.... in der Annahme, dass sie ihr natürliches Ende bald finden. Aber sie vermehrten sich gewaltig, da sehr widerstandfähig.

Übrigens stehen sie (auch mal ein Rind)  nicht selten nachts auf unbeleuchteten Highway`s, wo die Trucks mit brutaler Geschwindigkeit  fahren. Schwere Unfälle passieren.

- it is vast and extremely hot.

- the trucks are somewhat larger than those in Germany.

- Camels? Who would guess that over a million of these animals roam freely? When the railway replaced the camel as a means of transport (around 1930), the animals were simply set loose... under the assumption that they would soon die out naturally. Instead, they multiplied rapidly, as they are incredibly resilient.

Incidentally, it is not uncommon to find them (or the occasional cow) standing on unlit highways at night, right where trucks are speeding along at breakneck pace. Serious accidents do occur.

Die beste allgemeine Reisezeit für die Dominikanische Republik ist von Dezember bis April, da in diesen Monaten die trockene und sonnige Jahreszeit herrscht.

Osten und Süden (Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, La Romana): Dezember bis April ist ideal für einen klassischen Badeurlaub mit wenig Regen.

Wir haben es als Sportparadies und zum entspannenden Badeurlaub kennengelernt. 

Die Menschen sie freundlich und die Einkommen gering. Am Strand werden Schmuck und Obst verkauft, nicht zu aufdringlich und kleine Unterhaltungen werden geschätzt.

East and South (Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, La Romana): December to April is ideal for a classic beach holiday with little rain.

We experienced it as a paradise for sports and relaxing beach vacations.

The people are friendly, though incomes are low. Jewelry and fruit are sold on the beach—never too intrusively—and brief conversations are appreciated.
